What $7 and a little serendipity will get you Yesterday, on a whim, I decided to go to the Getty Center for the sole purpose of viewing the Los Angeles sunset in a different setting. Although admission to the museum is free, parking is $7, which I willing paid. What I didn't know was that the Getty was holding a Rembrandt exhibit (I really like Rembrandt) and was having one of its "summer sessions," which is an evening of live music performed on stages at various locations on the grounds. So, in return for my $7, I ended up getting (1) a beautiful sunset, (2) a leisurely stroll through the gardens, (3) an exhibit featuring Rembrandt's later works, and (4) a concert featuring great music from Los Mocosos and the B-Side Players. Not bad for an afternoon's work.
