I've been catching up some of my DVR'ed episodes of The Daily Show and The Colbert Report, and I can't help noticing that their guests have books with really long titles to the point where they barely fit on the book cover. A sampling: What Happened: Inside the Bush White House and Washington's Culture of Deception Broken Government: How Republican Rule Destroyed the Legislative, Executive, and Judicial Branches The Great Derangement: A Terrifying True Story of War, Politics, and Religion at the Twilight of the American Empire Right Is Wrong: How the Lunatic Fringe Hijacked America, Shredded the Constitution, and Made Us All Less Safe The Fall of the House of Bush: The Untold Story of How a Band of True Believers Seized the Executive Branch, Started the Iraq War, and Still Imperils America's Future I mean, look at that last one. Is that verbiage really necessary? Really? Or is it an attempt to save trees by printing the introduction on the book cover?
