It's Good to Know People. 
Happy Belated 4th of July! While I always appreciate holidays, I would prefer that they fall on those dates that enable me to have a long weekend. The middle-of-the-week break is nice, but...you know what I mean.
So, back to knowing people. Through a mutual friend, I met a really nice girl whose family has a farm. They grow all sorts of fruit on the farm: plums, peaches, cherries, and more. She's been helping out at the farm this summer, and this weekend she brought back LOADS of fruit and invited people to stop by and just take what they wanted. Soooo delicious! Like I said, it's good to know people. Being one person, I didn't want to grab too much fruit, but she insisted I take more --- more than I could possibly eat myself --- so my family and coworkers will be the lucky people who know me. Then again, it's always a privilege to know me.
