So Fresh and So Clean Jenny from the Block took me to this Asian-style spa in K-Town, and it was a very interesting experience. We both got the "milky scrub," which the spa describes as follows: "As you are basked in warm citrus milk, dry and dull skin is sloughed away with gentle strokes." What REALLY happens is that you get this milky water poured on top of you, and a Korean oba-san (mixing up my cultures here, but it's the best way I can think of to describe her) in a bikini puts on these mitts which must be made out of the same thing they make scouring pads out of and just works on your entire body with what aren't exactly "gentle" strokes. JFTB described it well when she said, "It was a pleasantly traumatic experience."
On the upside, I have never felt so clean, and my skin has never felt so soft. On the downside, I look all pink, thanks to being scrubbed raw.
