Leaving Las Vegas I just got back from an overnight trip to Vegas. I remember finding Vegas to be a very boring place when my parents used to take us there on family outings, but now that I am over 21, its appeal is much more understandable.
Quick overview of events: After arriving in the afternoon, Dubya and I sunned ourselves at the "Oasis of the Gods" pool, while the rest of the gang went outlet shopping. We then did some shopping of our own, and then had a quick dinner before heading to Excalibur, where we saw "Thunder From Down Under." (Excellent show for the ladies, by the way) We then headed to Ra, the nightclub at the Luxor, where we almost left because of the sucky DJ-ing. However, at around 12:30, a new DJ started, and the music got exponentially better. We danced in the club til around 2 or 3, and then we headed back to our hotel. Dubya and I got some food and cocktails, so the two of us didn't go to bed til 4 AM. The next morning, we skipped the Bellagio buffet (which we were planning on having) and opted to have breakfast at a more ghetto casino, so that we didn't have to wait in line and could gamble at a cheaper price. I played blackjack for the first time and lost $10, but recouped $5.50 at the slots.
Anyway, for your (and Cur's) viewing pleasure, here is a little souvenir from Vegas.
