Fun and then Some Well, last weekend was Stanford weekend, which was a blast. Seven b-schools -- Haas, Anderson, UW, Stanford, UCI, UC Davis, and Marshall -- convened in Stanford for a weekend of friendly competition and drinking. I will have pictures up as soon as I get some time to breathe in between all these projects that are going on.
Last night, I took a break and watched the Lakers game with Shimi and his friends Jeff and Kazu at a sports bar in Torrance. The sports bar wouldn't let Jeff in because he wasn't wearing a jacket over his jersey or a t-shirt under it (apparently, exposed unshaven armpits are a health hazard). Neither Shimi nor Kazu had a jacket or t-shirt. Since I have already stated that I watched the Lakers game at the sports bar, you might be wondering how Jeff managed to get in. Well, it just so happened that I brought my petite Ann Taylor sweater in case it got colder in the evening. So you can probably guess what happened. I mean, we couldn't leave him outside, could we? I don't know what was better, the sight of him IN the sweater or the sight of everyone in the bar staring and laughing at him. My stomach is sore from laughing so hard.
Tonight, it's probably going to be bowling at Lucky Strike and potentially meeting some people who have been admitted to Marshall! I suppose we're supposed to be at our friendliest and most fun so that these admits will choose Marshall over any other school. But seriously, if you already know that I go to Marshall, what more convincing do you need?
After a night of bowling, it's back to project hell. Whoo-hoo. Yay.
